Philosophy Eggnog 3-in-1

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!! This is by far the best Philosophy 3-in-1 so far!! I got this yesterday morning from my brother for Christmas. I actually knew I was getting it because I picked it out a couple of weeks ago at Marshalls and asked him to buy it for me, and since he loves me, he did :0). Do I have to tell you again that I am in love with eggnog? It's basically my favorite drink ever; I anticipate all year long the day this delicious and decadent drink arrives in my store's grocery aisle. As soon as I saw this in Marshalls, I knew it had to be mine. I didn't have high hopes for it as a shampoo since the other three Philosophy 3-in-1s failed miserably so I honestly didn't even try it as a shampoo. Buuuuutttt, this was so thick and creamy and a body wash, it's not even funny. With the same amount of product as I used with the other 3-in-1s, this Eggnog 3-in-1 lathered up so much better and was way creamier. And the smell!! The smell!! Eggnog heaven I tell you. If you love eggnog, you need this. The smell was so creamy, and thick, and strong, and creamy, and sweet, and a nutmeg-y.. and creamy. I think I need to go back to Marshalls and see if they have any more left cause I want backups!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and got what you wished for :0)

Philosophy Gingerbread 3-in-1

I knew this collection was too good to be true! Philosophy Gingerbread 3-in-1 is the dud of the collection! I think you all can tell by now I love everything about the holidays. I am a huge fan of anything that tastes or smells like gingerbread. In fact, I am eating gingerbread flavored yogurt right now as I write this review (limited edition for the holidays, Lucerne brand bought at Vons, in case you're interested ;] ). I was expecting a delicious, sweet, yet spicy gingerbread smell in my shower when I used this and unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed in more ways that one. First off I don't even know how to comment on the smell of this product because I'm not even sure there is one. No sweet, no spice, not anything nice. I kid you not, I took the whole top off and shoved my nose in the bottle and still couldn't smell anything. Now for the lather, neither of the other two 3-in-1's in this collection were very good at lathering and foaming up as a shampoo so I wasn't expecting much for this one either. However, Gingerbread 3-in-1 didn't later at all as a shampoo, and barely at all for a body wash. As a shampoo it was almost as if I had think honey in my hair (what the hell??) and when I used it as a body wash, I found myself having to open the bottle up a second time to use more product. I didn't quite use twice as much product for this 3-in-1 as I did the other two but I came pretty close. I hate to even review this cause I feel like I sound like such a Negative Ned but, what's a girl to do? Anyways, I love the Cinnamon Buns and Pumpkin Spice Muffin 3-in-1's so at least this collection wasn't a total loss. For now I'll enjoy my gingerbread in a yogurt cup rather than in my shower. :0)

Hope you had a fantastic weekend! Did you finish all your holiday shopping or are you gonna be out Christmas Eve night as all the shops are closing up? lol

Philosophy Cinnamon Buns 3-in-1

Philosophy Cinnamon Buns 3-in1, yum, yum, yum! Okay so this is the 2nd 3-in-1 out of the 3 part collection I'm reviewing. Like the Pumpkin Spice Muffin 3-in-1, Cinnamon Buns doesn't do such a hot job at lathering for a shampoo. I found myself using a lot more product than I would have liked to, just to get my hair clean. As for a body wash, this lathers up quite nicely on a shower poof so I only have to use about the same amount of product as I would with any other body wash. Now for the scent, like the Philosophy Cinnamon Buns lip gloss I reviewed just below, this 3-in-1 smells much more like icing to me than actual cinnamon buns. Oddly enough, the 3-in-1 and the lip gloss don't smell exactly the same to me though. They're both strongly sweet (right up my alley!!) and smell like icing but the 3-in-1 has a much stronger scent and smells more like icing. Possibly because the lip gloss is older where as the 3-in-1 I just opened this morning. Love, love, love this scent. Made my bathroom smell like sweet icing and sweets baking in the over. The scent didn't linger in my hair (especially after I used conditioner and anti-frizz serum) at all and barely at all on my skin. My skin does still smell faintly sweet hours later but it doesn't smell like icing. too bad :(! Overall, love the scent and as a body wash, not so much for hair.

Philosophy Cinnamon Buns Lip Gloss

More Holiday lip gloss?! Of course!!! Today I'm sharing with you Philosophy Cinnamon Buns Lip Gloss. First off, the smell is amazing! I'm not sure I would classify the smell as cinnamon buns if I were smelling it and didn't know what it were supposed to smell like, but it does definitely have that strong sweet smell to it. Smells a bit more like the icing on top of the cinnamon buns than cinnamon buns themselves but since the icing is the best past, I'm not complaining! Looks wise, this gloss is an almost base jam-packed with yellow golden shimmer. Click to view these pics full size! I loooove the look of this gloss. Actually, the only negative thing I have to say about this gloss is that it is a bit sticky, thick, and goopy. That being said, it's those qualities that make this gloss last so long on the lips. Overall, I'm a huge fan of this product. Delicious smell, gorgeous golden shimmer, long wear, cute name and packaging.. what more could you want?! This sells for $10 at Sephora.

Philosophy Pumpkin Spice Muffin 3-in-1

Any other Philosophy fans out there?! I love anything that makes me smell yummy in and out of the shower and if you haven't figured it out by now, I'm obsessed with all things holiday. The holidays are my favorite time of year... I love being home with my family, spending time with friends, baking Christmas cookies and treats, holiday shopping, and of course bath and beauty products that are holiday themed!! My mom and I are obsessed with baking during the holidays and I just love the way a pumpkin pie baking in the over makes the whole house smell like heaven. So whats better than your whole bathroom smelling like fresh baked pumpkin pie while you take a shower?! Not much, I tell you. Today I'm going to review the Philosophy Pumpkin Spice Muffin 3-in-1 only and the other two I will review on days that I have just used them so that the smell is fresh in my mind. I just used the Pumpkin Spice Muffin as a shampoo and body wash this morning. First off, the smell is amazing!.. Smells just like the pumpkin spice bread my mom and I make. It's very spicy with a hint of sweet, and a whole lot of pumpkin smell, of which I am obsessed with. I'm a big pumpkin junkie whether it be pie, bread, flavored coffee, scented lotion or body spray etc. I've tried many pumpkin scents and this is definitely the spiciest of all of them. If you love the smell of pumpkin but you're not a big fan of a strong spicy smell in your bath and body products I'd suggest skipping this one but because I love spice, I'm a huge fan. This gets five stars for smell! As for lather and cleaning abilities, it didn't lather and foam up as much as I would have hoped as a shampoo. It takes a lot more product to wash your hair with than another normal shampoo I would say. However, as a body wash it lathered up quite well on my shower poof and I used about the same amount of product as I would have with any other shower gel. After my shower, the scent didn't linger at all in my hair, especially after using conditioner and putting a serum in my hair, and it barely lingered at all on my skin. Overall, I probably wouldn't use this again as a shampoo but for a body wash I love it!
