Pink Flower Konad

It's Monday morning and it's going to be a good, sunny, and warm week here in So Cal :0)! I'm so excited because it seems like Spring is on it's way. Don't get me wrong, I looove Winter, but as soon as the holiday season is over, the exciting and fun part of Winter is over in my opinion. I'm ready for Spring soon after ringing in the new year and when the warm weather sets in. Luckily for me, LA is getting sunny and warm weather this week and we're hopefully going to get into the 70's by the weekend. What better for warm weather than Spring time/Valentine's Day manis?! Nothing I say!
This is my friend Rochelle's nails, I did them for her two nights ago.I used Maybelline ASSweetie Pie with Sally Hansen Strawberry icing over it and for the Konad I used China Glaze Millennium. Pretty huh?! She loved it :0)

Hope your week is warm and sunny as well, wherever you are.

OPI Silver Belles

OPI Silver Belles is from the Holiday 2009 ULTA Exclusive Tiny Tinsels Collection. It's still mighty cold here in So Cal so dark grays and silvers just seem to fit. Silver Belles is a medium gunmetal silver. It's foil-like dark silver shimmer from one angle but as soon as the light hits it, the light silver becomes much more apparent. I really love this color. Another perfect dark silver for this So Cal weather. At least it's not raining anymore. Actually, I quite like the rain.. but only really when I'm inside, not outside getting soaked in it.

It's a beautiful day!!

OPI Brand New Skates

Sorry I've been MIA the past two days, I'm back in LA again and school starts today so this next week is going to be a bit hectic too. It's a cold, wet, and gray day here in So Cal and OPI Brand New Skates is the perfect polish that reminds me this kind of weather. Dark silver gray with gold flake shimmer. Amazing. This is one of my all time favorite polishes and definitely my favorite polish to wear for this kind of weather.
Hope you all had a great NYE and New Years Day. My New Year's Eve was really low key. I went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, had a few sip's of champagne at my brother's house, went to my BFF Kim's house to play Let's Dance on the Wii, and got home with 15 mins to spare to ring in the New Year by watching the ball drop in New Yprk with mymom while eating frozen yogurt. My kind of NYE. What did you do?

Color Club Magic Attraction

Color Club Magic Attraction is form the Glitter Vixin collection and is a super gorgeous light pink silver holo. The holo in this polish is of the chunkier sort, along the lines of the China Glaze Kaldiscope Collection. There's also random dark rose pink glitter in this polish that helps give off the pink look to this polish. I love this color and how sparkly and eye-catching it is but application was a PITA. This was 3 coats and I had to wait 2-3 minutes between each coat to prevent dragging and gloopyness at the tips since the polish was so thick. Overall though, I love this polish and am so glad I finnaly got my hands on this. I've had a lemming for this polish for almsot a year and I found the whole Glitter Vixin set last week at Ross for $7.99 so I could not resist! Score!!

P.S. Anyone notice at what time I am posting this? ...I have issues.

My Top 20

So you may or may not be familiar with MUA, the Nail Board, or the Nail Board Top 20 but each Fall we do a Top 20 polish list in which everyone on the board submits their favorite 20 polishes to a NB member and they tally up the votes. Today was the day that the votes and the 2010 NB Top 20 were shared on the board. It becomes a bit of a spam fest on acid where everyone shares what polishes made their top 20 list and so I figured it was reason as good as any to share with you all what made my top 20 list this year. Some of these I have posted on here before (mostly because I was trying to have swatches done to share on the board when I revealed my top 20 list) so hopefully that's not a big deal. Behold, my Top 20:

In no particular order,
China Glaze Fortune Teller
OPI Absolutely Alice
Deborah Lippman Happy Birthday
Color Club Electro Candy
Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
China Glaze Nova
Essie Mint Candy Apple
OPI Dazzled By Gold
Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers
Nfu Oh 52
OPI Smitten With Mittens
China Glaze Emerald Sparkle
OPI Brand New Skates
OPI The Show Must Go On!
China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy
Nfu Oh 51
China Glaze Party Hearty
Del Sol Trick-Or-Treat
OPI Holiday Glow
And last but certainly not least,
Zoya Charla
There you have it. How many of these make up your favorites too?

China Glaze Nova

Gooood morning! Usually I'm an early bird and up at the crack of dawn but I took some cough syrup last night and man, that shiz knocked me the eff out! I went to the doctor last night and they said I should be all better in about 5 days as long as I use my cough syrup every night and use a Neti Pot before I go the bed and when I wake up. Now, I've heard of the Neti Pot before and seen it on Dr.Oz but last night was my first experience using it and boy did I feel violated haha! Anyone else ever tried using one? It sorta feels like your drowning yourself in salt water. Anyways, being sick I felt like I deserved an over the top blingy mani to help me feel a bit better. This is China Glaze Nova (2 coats) over Orly Shine (2 coats). I love this combo so much, it has the holiday season written all over it! (Make sure you click to view the pics full size.. small pics do this polish no justice)  I'm not a huge fan of holo polishes but I really, really love holo glitters and this is one of my all time favorite manis, especially during the holiday season! I'm curious though, what other polishes have you guys tried Nova over?

It's a sunny day; smile :0)
