China Glaze Party Hearty over Maybelline Minty

 

So I know that New Years Eve is literally right around the corner but I'm still in the Christmas mood and I'm still trying to wear my Christmas manis while it still socially acceptable. I was sad at how little I wore Party Hearty. I was really looking forward to this coming out and when I finally got it, I think I only wore it 5 times maybe. I just had to wear it once more before the Christmas season was over. I guess this is my last official Christmas mani of the year cause I tomorrow is NYE and I'm goin for the BLING!!
I have to say, I'm really sad to see the holiday season end. This has always been my favorite time of the year and I'm always sad to see the Christmas/Holiday season end. If it were up to me, it would be December every month :0). I am however very happy to see 2010 go. This has probably been the worst year for my family and I, especially health wise. So on a sad note, the holiday season is almost over and I start school Monday but on a happy note, I'm happy for a new year and a fresh start and I graduate in June! Tomorrow's post will probably be very quick so I want to wish you all a Happy New Year now. Hope you all have fun.. and be safe!

Maybelline Minty

 

Maybelline Minty came out this past spring along with, I believe, 5 other colors. I picked myself up a bottle back then as well as 3 more bottles a couple weeks ago in a set at Ross. Minty is one of my favorite mint green creme polishes. It's more yellow tinged than blue tinged. Application was okay; it was a bit stringy and runny but came out perfect in 3 coats.

Have any of you planned your New Year's Eve manis? I'm still contemplating mine. I know it's going to include a lot of holo glitter though!!

Wanting to wear Party Heaty for Christmas but don't know what to layer it over? I have just a few ideas for you! I didn't end up wearing Party Hearty as much as I had hoped to.. I wanted to try it once alone and once over white, gold, and silver but none of those happened. I do however have some other combo ideas you might like..

My Top 20

So you may or may not be familiar with MUA, the Nail Board, or the Nail Board Top 20 but each Fall we do a Top 20 polish list in which everyone on the board submits their favorite 20 polishes to a NB member and they tally up the votes. Today was the day that the votes and the 2010 NB Top 20 were shared on the board. It becomes a bit of a spam fest on acid where everyone shares what polishes made their top 20 list and so I figured it was reason as good as any to share with you all what made my top 20 list this year.
