China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise

Oh man, I can;t even begin to tell you how this was to photograph because I could not for the life of me get this to come out color accurate in my pictures. This is China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise topped with two coats of Pure Ice Heartbreaker. Turned Up Turquoise is a neon bright green turquoise shimmer but since the shimmer isn;t too obvious, I like to top it with Pure Ice Heartbreaker to make it have even more shimmer :0) Sorry these pictures suck but after about 100 pictures, unfortunately these were the best I could get. I promise that in real like this polish is so, so gorgeous. This was one of my first, if not the first, neon polish I ever owned and it started with a frenzy. I love me some turquoise and I love me some neon.

Hope you have a great Sunday and enjoy your long weekend :0)

My Top 20

So you may or may not be familiar with MUA, the Nail Board, or the Nail Board Top 20 but each Fall we do a Top 20 polish list in which everyone on the board submits their favorite 20 polishes to a NB member and they tally up the votes. Today was the day that the votes and the 2010 NB Top 20 were shared on the board. It becomes a bit of a spam fest on acid where everyone shares what polishes made their top 20 list and so I figured it was reason as good as any to share with you all what made my top 20 list this year. Some of these I have posted on here before (mostly because I was trying to have swatches done to share on the board when I revealed my top 20 list) so hopefully that's not a big deal. Behold, my Top 20:

In no particular order,
China Glaze Fortune Teller
OPI Absolutely Alice
Deborah Lippman Happy Birthday
Color Club Electro Candy
Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure
China Glaze Nova
Essie Mint Candy Apple
OPI Dazzled By Gold
Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers
Nfu Oh 52
OPI Smitten With Mittens
China Glaze Emerald Sparkle
OPI Brand New Skates
OPI The Show Must Go On!
China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy
Nfu Oh 51
China Glaze Party Hearty
Del Sol Trick-Or-Treat
OPI Holiday Glow
And last but certainly not least,
Zoya Charla
There you have it. How many of these make up your favorites too?

H&M Bella's Choice

On this cold, cloudy, and soon to be rainy Saturday morning I have for you H&M Bella's Choice. Considering the Eclipse DVD/Blu-Ray comes out today, I felt this polish was totally apropos. Bella's Choice in my opinion, is he perfect turquoise blue. It's got a bit more green to it than China Glaze for Audrey and isn't as bright as Essie Turquoise and Caicos. The formula was a bit goopy and streaky but it's totally worth the hassle for the color. This polish is pretty hard to find.. I saw it quite a bit at the bigger H&M stores during the summer but haven't seen it at all since then. It's also a bit pricey (I think $4.95 or $5.95 USD) for 0.3 oz. Despite the application troubles and the price, if you find this baby in a store consider yourself lucky and get it while you still can!

Happy Saturday
