Del Sol Heart Breaker
Good morning!Since So Cal is still experiencing warm weather due to the Santa Ana, I decided now would be the perfect time for a color changing polish. Del Sol polishes, as you may or may not be aware, change colors in the sun. They react to UVA and possibly UVB rays and change colors so they look different indoors and outdoors. This is Del Sol Heart Breaker indoors..
And outdoors..
Indoors Heartbreaker is a warm maroon red jelly packed with tons of medium square silver glitter. When outdoors, Heartbreaker turns into a deep burgundy-maroon-plum colored jelly packed with the same silver glitter. I really like the color of Heartbreaker both indoors and outdoors a lot. It's fun yet sophisticated and just too darn fun. I love color changing polishes!
Has anyone else tried Del Sol? What's you favorite from their line?

Spring Flowers
I feel like I'm jumping the gun a little bit getting all geared up for Spring when it's still January but it's hard not to when its 80 and tank top, shorts, and flip flops weather. This mani is one that I did for my friend Rochelle. You may remember I featured another mani of her's last week on the blog. Well I've sucked her into the nail polish world and obsessed and she was so thrilled to be featured on the blog last week, I decided to do it again :0). This was three coats of Milani Hi-Red from last year's Spring 3D Holographic collection. She wanted flowers on top so I free handed three daisies using OPI Alpine snow as the petals and China Glaze Lemon Fizz and the center on her ring fingers as accent nails. Very cute and very Spring like. :0)

OPI Crim-Sun
Happy Tuesday! Did you all enjoy your extra long weekend?! I sure did! This quarter I don't have Friday classes so my three day weekend was turned into a four day weekend since we got off Monday for MLK Day. I definitely enjoyed and needed a long weekend since I'm about to get swamped with school. On Sunday I headed over to a part of town I'd never been to and found a beauty supply store that ended up being a dusty leading to my first real dusty score!! On a neglected rack shoved in a small isle and behind a shelf I found some OPI bottles covered in dust and begging to come home with me. I found OPI Crim-Sun, Coral Reef, What's Dune?, and A Day At The Peach, all from the Summer For Shore Summer 2003 collection. I talked the lady into selling these to me for the low price of $1.99 each. Can you say, SCORE!!? I'm pretty stoaked on these since they're all holo and HTF (hard to find) polishes. Usually I don't go out dusty hunting but it's nice to find a surprise and score. Crim-Sun was the first polish of the four that I decided to try. Crim-Sun is a pinky coral small particle linear holo. This polish, although not over-the-top obviously holo, is a holo polish as opposed to being a polish with holo glitter in it. It's got small tiny linear holo particles in it and is more subtle than more linear holos like the one ins the China Glaze OMG collection. Although it's not outrageously holo, I still like it a lot. I like the color a lot too.. it reminds me of Hawaii and it seems like it would be the perfect pedi color to wear all summer long. Love, love love, and love even more because of the price! Oh, and make sure you click to enlarge the pics to full size to enjoy the holo in all it's glory :0)
Have you had any great dusty scores recently?

Neon Leopard
Happy Martin Luther King Day! Hopefully you all have the day off work and school and are enjoying your long weekend. I was so excited to finally get to wear China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise after having not worn it for so long, I didn't wanna take it off! So instead I just added Konad on top! I just Wet N Wild Black Creme for the leopard stamp and for inside the spots I just Colo Club: Electro Candy, Volt Of Light, What A Shock!, Pure Energy as well as China Glaze Coconut Kiss. :0)
Hope you enjoy the rest of your long weekend. I know I will!

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
Oh man, I can;t even begin to tell you how this was to photograph because I could not for the life of me get this to come out color accurate in my pictures. This is China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise topped with two coats of Pure Ice Heartbreaker. Turned Up Turquoise is a neon bright green turquoise shimmer but since the shimmer isn;t too obvious, I like to top it with Pure Ice Heartbreaker to make it have even more shimmer :0) Sorry these pictures suck but after about 100 pictures, unfortunately these were the best I could get. I promise that in real like this polish is so, so gorgeous. This was one of my first, if not the first, neon polish I ever owned and it started with a frenzy. I love me some turquoise and I love me some neon.
Hope you have a great Sunday and enjoy your long weekend :0)

Summertime Look
Good morning! So today I'm going to do another summer look but this time I'm going to show you an all over look including eyes, cheeks, and lips.
For my eyes I used Bare Escentuals Kiko on the inner eye and Bare Escentuals Fantasy on the outter eye and crease. Kiko is a shimmery gold yellow. It looks even more yellow in real life in the pot but on the eye it really shows up a very pretty golden color. Fantasy is a gorgeous shimmery copper color that has golden and rose undertones. Both of these colors were purchased at the BE outlet store, Fantasy as an individual full size and Kiko as a mini in a four-piece eye shadow set. I'm not sure how easily these can be found since they're not sold in normal BE boutiques but you might be able to find them online or at an outlet if you're lucky enough to live close to one.

For my cheeks I used BE Warmth (far left), then A Little Sun (far right), and lastly Sun-Kissed (middle). Warmth is a warm reddish brown and adds a bit of natural bronzed color to my cheeks without looking too makeup-y or over the top. Warmth is also the default BE cheek color and comes in every starter kit and is easily found anywhere that sells BE products. A Little Sun is a sparkly orangey bronze color. I got a sample of this (shown here) at my local BE boutique because I wanted to try some new cheek colors for the summer looks. I've had this sample for six months, use it all the time, and there's barely a dig in my usage. This stuff last forever! It's a gorgeous bronze that makes you look like you've been outside at the beach all day. The shimmer in this is very obvious in the pot but only shows as a very slight glow/shimmer on the cheeks which I like a lot. A Little Sun can be found at any BE boutique or Sephora store. Sun-Kissed is a peachy coral color with a hint of silvery shimmer. This color reminds me of the color of Patrick in Sponge Bob Square Pants. Like A Little Sun, the shimmer shows up in the pot but not so much on the cheek. Sun-Kissed is pretty pigmented and shows up peachy coral on the cheeks and gives a fresh faced glow look. Love it! I got Sun-Kissed in a give away at my local BE boutique during one of their sales, I looked on their site and was not able to find it listed so I'm not sure if you're able to purchase this or not at regular BE boutiques. If you are able to find this though, grab it! it's so, so, so gorgeous and it's perfect for a summer glow. Love it!
Now for the lips, I got the new Buxom Babes Rock Stars lip gloss kit from my amazing brother for Christmas and the first of the glosses I decided to give a try is Tonya.
OH. EM. GEE. Are you seeing this!?!? Look at how pink that is! If OPI Pink Me I'm Good turned into a lip gloss, this would be it! Tonya is a heart stopingly gorgeous warm, watermelon pink lip gloss packed with tons of warm gold and pink shimmer. I can't even tell you guys how much I love this gloss. This was sold in normal BE boutiques during the holiday season and I think it still might be available at boutiques, on clearance if you're lucky!
Now for the all over look?!
Yup, looks like summer to me! Good thing too since it's 74 outside :0)
Now to go soak up some Viatamin D!

Is It Summer Yet?
Oh em gee, today was a gorgeous day. It was actually hot outside.. 82!! Yes, you read the right! 82!!! In January!! So in the summer I don;t like to wear heavy makeup cause it's hot and humid and then I get sweaty and I hate feeling cakey or like my makeup looks heavy and gross and so today I did a light summery look similar to what I wear most days in the summer. Golden toned eyeshadow applied with a fluffy brush if my favorite look to wear in the summer. This is Bare Escentuals Captivate on the inner eye and Bare Escentuals Camel on the outter eye. Both colors are gorgeous, sparkly golden caramel colors but Captivate is a bit lighter and more gold than Captivate. The mascara I'm wearing is the new Flawless Definition Volumizing mascara by BE. I only used one coat of mascara because I was going for a lighter more natural look but usually I do two coats of mascara. This mascara doesn't look very volumizing to me. Maybe it would look more volumized and dramatic with two coats. It's more natural looking then I normally like (I prefer dark, thick, long, dramatic eyelashes like I get with Maybelline The Falsies the best) but I do like it for this look. Overall, LOVE the eye shadows and I like the mascara okay.
China Glaze Pink Voltage
Let me just start out by saying that these pictures are not color accurate. I don;t know what it is about neon, but it just does not want to cooperate and be photographed. Camera always wary neons and make seem so much morning than they really are. In real life, Pink Voltage is a neon, retina searing, hot pink. This neon is crazy!! It's so bright and so pink and it's got this gorgeous fuschia shimmer in it. One of my favorite neon polishes ever and since it's about 82 degrees outside, it's the prefect time to wear it. Seriously though, these pics do no do this polish justice. You just have to see this in real life!
It's Friday :0)

Nfu Oh 65
More holo?! Sure why not, it's sunny outside! I think So Cal (LA especially) will be the envy of the country this weekend. It's expected to be 76 degrees today and 79 tomorrow. That's almost beach weather! Since I like to rake full advantage of the sun while it's out I decided to wear another holo. This is Nfu Oh 65. This is a light Cinderella blue small particle linear holo. This was 3 coats. At least three or four minutes between coats in required to prevent dragging but with the wait time, application becomes perfect. Out of all the holos I own. this is my all time favorite. But seriously, is it hard to see why?
Have a wonderful Thursday! It's almost the weekend :0)

Milani Hi-Tech
Happy Hump Day! It's warm and sunny here again in LA.. it's supposed to get up into the low 70's today which means it's holo weather! This is Milani Hi-Tech from last year's Spring collection that they ended up putting into the core line. I bought this right when it came out but for some reason I haven't worn it until now. I can't figure out why the heck not cause this polish is gorgeous! My pictures aren't completely accurate, in real life this is an almost neon lemon-lime green but in my photos the color shows up way more dulled. Don't be fooled, this polish is super bright! Perfect for Spring and the sunny weather.. kinda reminds me of grass :0) The holo in this is big and scattered, more along this lines of the China Glaze Kalediscope line. Application was good, I let it dry a bit in between coats for about a minute or two to avoid dragging of the holo particles and it came out just fine. This was three coats for perfection.
Have a happy day!!

I've Been Tagged!
So yesterday I was at school and I was surprised to check my email and find a message from Kari over at Once Bitten saying that she'd tagged me for a stylish blogger award! Now, I've never heard of this before but it sounds cool right?! So apparently this means that not only are people actually reading my blog, they actually like it! SCORE! As a new blogger I struggle a bit trying to get new readers and followers so this was a nice little surprise to let me know that my work is appreciated :0). Now, since I was at school when I received this message from Kari, I couldn't exactly drop everything I was doing and complete the steps for accepting the award. Long story short, I got home from school at 11pm and crashed. This morning I woke up to another email that I was again tagged for the same award from Cat over at Pink Cat's Polish. How cool is that to be tagged twice!? I'm pretty excited about it. I've never done this before so hopefully it means I only have to tag one set of bloggers instead of two... hmm. (correct me please if I'm wrong). And a huge thanks to both girls, Kari and Cat, for tagging me. I'm glad you read and like my blog!! Anyways.. on the the award!
This award come with rules & they are as follows:
1. Thank and link the person who gave you the award
2. Share 7 things about yourself
3. Award 15 recently discovered bloggers
4. Contact these bloggers to tell them about the award
And away we go.. my 7 things:
1. I like to be active. From the time that I was 3 up until high school I was involved in dance including tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, and theater. I was involved in group as well as solo competition. While in middle school I was involved in ice skating and competed in that as well. When I went into high school, I quit dance and ice skating and in place of that I became involved in my high school's field hockey, swim team, and water polo sports teams. Now that I'm college, I try to go to my school's gym every day I'm on campus and during the summer months I enjoy hiking and swimming.
2. I have attachment issues. I like being close to being that I'm close with and have separation anxiety when I'm not around them for long periods of time. I also have this weird mentality that people are somehow invisibly attached to me by a string so when i am walking next to someone I need to walk on the same side of the trashcan/pole/tree/bush as them, or else I feel like my string has become tangled and I start to feel discombobbled. I've had this feeling ever since I was little and always thought it odd until three years ago I read a bio called learning To Fly by Victoria Beckham and she described how when she was younger she had the same invisible string attachment to her mom. So I'm not the only weird one after all :0).
3. I used to be a picky eater and eat nothing. When I was a junior/senior in high school I was a vegetarian for a year. I did't eat veggies though because I hadn't grown a liking for them yet so I lived off junk food, sweets, and mostly cookies. Yeah, my dad still teases me about the time he took me to the doctor because he thought my vegetarian diet was lacking nutrition, vitamins, and minerals, and when the doctor asked me what I had eaten the day before I had responded "cookies". I still remember that the day before I had only had six Milano cookies to eat the entire day (no clue why) so my response wasn't really in my defense. Since then I have learned to love almost all fruits and a ton of veggies. Now I prefer to eat healthy and actually crave delicious veggies all the time. I guess it helps that I like to and now know how to cook, but thank goodness I'm no longer as picky as I used to be.
4. I'm obsessed with the Christmas season. You already knew that though didn't you? Well what you don't know is that I start listening to Christmas music on my iTunes starting in September, that I volunteer to single-handedly set up and take down all Christmas decorations (because otherwise we'd never get out tree up), same goes with Christmas Eve/Christmas dinner (cause the one year we went to Home Town Buffet for Thanksgiving I threw a fit and declared I would cook every holiday from then on so we'd never have to go out to a restaurant on a holiday again), and that currently I still have snowmen sheets on my bed and I am rocking my Rudolph PJ pants.
5. I started getting really into polish two years ago as a way to help my kick my nail biting habit to the curb. I figured if my nails looked pretty, I wouldn't put them near my mouth. As soon as a nail chipped I forced myself to repaint because I figured if I had chipped polish, my nails already looked like shiz so if I bit my nails they would only look even more like shiz, but the level of looking like shiz really didn't matter which is why I like them looking perfect and unchipped. Even still when they get chipped, I have the urge to bite.. but only if it's a stressful day.
6. I hope to be an old cat lady. I'm actually pretty convinced I will be. I'll be the old lady at the end of the street with all the cats that all the neighborhood children are convinced is loopy. What can I say?? I love cats!!
7. I like shoes. Lots of shoes. I have so many pairs of shoes and heels that I've only worn some of them once or twice yet when I see a new pair that I love, I just have to have them. I know I should stop buying them because I already have so many, and no where to where them, but I just can't help it. I always reason with myself that one day i will have somewhere to wear them and that if I don't buy them now, I'll regret it later. It's a good thing my feet are done growing so at least I'll never grow out of any of them!
So now I I guess I'm supposed to list 15 of my favorite bloggers. Some are new, some are old, but I'm just gonna list the first 15 that come mind. Please not, I read more than 15 nails blogs and love all of them so just because a blog didn't make this list, doesn't mean I don't read and/or like it.

A Surprise Bloom
Good morning! today I'm sharing with you some of the new pretty purple Bare Escentual eye shadows I got for Christmas. For the inner eye I used BE Surprise, the outter eye BE Bloom, and the highlighter is BE Believe. Surprise is an almost periwinkle purple, it's got a cornflower blue shimmer to it, yet it's still purple. Very, very unique and pretty. Bloom is a medium-light purple, perfect for Spring and very shimmery. Both these eye colors are very buildable which I like. Believe is a while shimmer eye shadow the has a ton of light blue shimmer. Mostly, the white doesn't show, it just looks like an iridescent nude with the gorgeous blue shimmer. Surprise was from a kit at the BE outlet store so I'm not sure how easily found it is, Bloom is in the core line at all BE boutiques, and Believe was released originally to raise money for Autism about a year and a half ago but is now a part of the core line.

Pink Flower Konad
It's Monday morning and it's going to be a good, sunny, and warm week here in So Cal :0)! I'm so excited because it seems like Spring is on it's way. Don't get me wrong, I looove Winter, but as soon as the holiday season is over, the exciting and fun part of Winter is over in my opinion. I'm ready for Spring soon after ringing in the new year and when the warm weather sets in. Luckily for me, LA is getting sunny and warm weather this week and we're hopefully going to get into the 70's by the weekend. What better for warm weather than Spring time/Valentine's Day manis?! Nothing I say!
This is my friend Rochelle's nails, I did them for her two nights ago.I used Maybelline ASSweetie Pie with Sally Hansen Strawberry icing over it and for the Konad I used China Glaze Millennium. Pretty huh?! She loved it :0)
Hope your week is warm and sunny as well, wherever you are.
