Del Sol Heart Breaker
Good morning!Since So Cal is still experiencing warm weather due to the Santa Ana, I decided now would be the perfect time for a color changing polish. Del Sol polishes, as you may or may not be aware, change colors in the sun. They react to UVA and possibly UVB rays and change colors so they look different indoors and outdoors. This is Del Sol Heart Breaker indoors..
And outdoors..
Indoors Heartbreaker is a warm maroon red jelly packed with tons of medium square silver glitter. When outdoors, Heartbreaker turns into a deep burgundy-maroon-plum colored jelly packed with the same silver glitter. I really like the color of Heartbreaker both indoors and outdoors a lot. It's fun yet sophisticated and just too darn fun. I love color changing polishes!
Has anyone else tried Del Sol? What's you favorite from their line?

Spring Flowers
I feel like I'm jumping the gun a little bit getting all geared up for Spring when it's still January but it's hard not to when its 80 and tank top, shorts, and flip flops weather. This mani is one that I did for my friend Rochelle. You may remember I featured another mani of her's last week on the blog. Well I've sucked her into the nail polish world and obsessed and she was so thrilled to be featured on the blog last week, I decided to do it again :0). This was three coats of Milani Hi-Red from last year's Spring 3D Holographic collection. She wanted flowers on top so I free handed three daisies using OPI Alpine snow as the petals and China Glaze Lemon Fizz and the center on her ring fingers as accent nails. Very cute and very Spring like. :0)

OPI Crim-Sun
Happy Tuesday! Did you all enjoy your extra long weekend?! I sure did! This quarter I don't have Friday classes so my three day weekend was turned into a four day weekend since we got off Monday for MLK Day. I definitely enjoyed and needed a long weekend since I'm about to get swamped with school. On Sunday I headed over to a part of town I'd never been to and found a beauty supply store that ended up being a dusty leading to my first real dusty score!! On a neglected rack shoved in a small isle and behind a shelf I found some OPI bottles covered in dust and begging to come home with me. I found OPI Crim-Sun, Coral Reef, What's Dune?, and A Day At The Peach, all from the Summer For Shore Summer 2003 collection. I talked the lady into selling these to me for the low price of $1.99 each. Can you say, SCORE!!? I'm pretty stoaked on these since they're all holo and HTF (hard to find) polishes. Usually I don't go out dusty hunting but it's nice to find a surprise and score. Crim-Sun was the first polish of the four that I decided to try. Crim-Sun is a pinky coral small particle linear holo. This polish, although not over-the-top obviously holo, is a holo polish as opposed to being a polish with holo glitter in it. It's got small tiny linear holo particles in it and is more subtle than more linear holos like the one ins the China Glaze OMG collection. Although it's not outrageously holo, I still like it a lot. I like the color a lot too.. it reminds me of Hawaii and it seems like it would be the perfect pedi color to wear all summer long. Love, love love, and love even more because of the price! Oh, and make sure you click to enlarge the pics to full size to enjoy the holo in all it's glory :0)
Have you had any great dusty scores recently?

Neon Leopard
Happy Martin Luther King Day! Hopefully you all have the day off work and school and are enjoying your long weekend. I was so excited to finally get to wear China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise after having not worn it for so long, I didn't wanna take it off! So instead I just added Konad on top! I just Wet N Wild Black Creme for the leopard stamp and for inside the spots I just Colo Club: Electro Candy, Volt Of Light, What A Shock!, Pure Energy as well as China Glaze Coconut Kiss. :0)
Hope you enjoy the rest of your long weekend. I know I will!

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise
Oh man, I can;t even begin to tell you how this was to photograph because I could not for the life of me get this to come out color accurate in my pictures. This is China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise topped with two coats of Pure Ice Heartbreaker. Turned Up Turquoise is a neon bright green turquoise shimmer but since the shimmer isn;t too obvious, I like to top it with Pure Ice Heartbreaker to make it have even more shimmer :0) Sorry these pictures suck but after about 100 pictures, unfortunately these were the best I could get. I promise that in real like this polish is so, so gorgeous. This was one of my first, if not the first, neon polish I ever owned and it started with a frenzy. I love me some turquoise and I love me some neon.
Hope you have a great Sunday and enjoy your long weekend :0)
